Feb. 25th, 2008 04:26 pmSo yesterday I had the migraine from HELL. Well, technically the last part of Saturday and all Sunday. I was completely out of my mind with pain.
"I know!" I thought. "I'll take some of that neat sumatriptan that the doctor gave me! It's specifically for migraines."
I had an allergic reaction to it. D: My face got swollen and icky. I got my mom to go get the other medicine he prescribed me, which has a barbituate, aspirin, and caffeine in it. I took two at a time and it helped for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Unfortunately I can only take them every 4 hours. It was better than nothing, though, and after I did the third round of 2 pills at a time it FINALLY went and stayed away.
I underestimated the effects of the caffeine, though, and couldn't sleep until 5 am. Luckily my morning class was cancelled.
